The One Where It Starts

Hello blogging world! So let's get started, shall we? Well, if you"re anything like me, firstly, you love Friends. And yes, I'm talking about THE FRIENDS...that is... Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, and Ross. Yes, I'm serious. Secondly, you've got to be a fanatic. This show was start only a couple years after I was born, and I have vague memories of hearing it in the background as my mom watched it, not really understanding the show until I was old enough to understand it. Now that I've seen the show over and over countlessly, I have an undying love for this show, and the legacy it carries with it. I'm not going to go into about how great the show is so let's get to the point of the blog. As I was watching the show earlier today, the idea struck me. Girls, have you ever sat there and wondered about the fashion styles of the Friends characters, from Monica's cute cropped shirts, to Phoebe's crazy rings, and Rachel's slimming dresses. Don't worry, I'll put in a few for the guys too. Well this blog is a mission. Although I don't have a fashion background, nor do I believe I have the justifications to claim what is and is not fashion, I love clothing enough to know what looks nice on people and what doesn't. Add that to my love for Friends and the blog is thus born. I am going on a mission to re-watch the complete 10 seasons for the God knows how many times to find out fashion trends in the show and different styles of clothing. Not only will I look for cute outfits, I am going to show you, my beloved blog reader, in my opinion how you can dress like one of our beloved Friends using modern day clothing techniques, and shopping in contemporary stores while using thrifty shopping skills to make these outfits affordable for anybody. So let's not hope this blog isn't a huge bust. Lets get it started!
